Set inside Amboseli National Park itself, in an acacia grove beside a natural spring, Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge is one of the larger properties in the area, 92 rooms designed around traditional Maasai village style, with hand painted murals and local artefacts throughout. Mount Kilimanjaro dominates the view from the gardens, and the lodge’s swimming pool is fed by fresh spring water flowing down from the mountain itself.
The lodge runs a guest tree planting program, helping restore woodland that elephant herds have gradually stripped over the years, a small but genuine conservation touch guests can take part in during their stay. Rooms include private balconies overlooking the plains, and family friendly options include triple rooms, two-bedroom family rooms and interconnecting rooms.
