This 9 day Kenya safari itinerary takes you through some of the country’s most rewarding wildlife destinations. From the remote wilderness of Meru and the unique wildlife of Samburu to the forests of Aberdare, the flamingo shores of Lake Nakuru and the endless plains of Maasai Mara, this safari offers an incredible opportunity to experience Kenya’s rich landscapes and diverse wildlife in a single journey.

Upon arrival, you will be picked up from your hotel in Nairobi at 9:00 AM. Begin your day with a visit to the famous Giraffe Centre where you can get up close to the endangered Rothschild giraffes and even feed them by hand.
Continue to the historic Karen Blixen Museum before enjoying lunch at a selected restaurant. In the afternoon, explore Nairobi city and visit some of its most notable landmarks including Parliament Buildings, Jamia Mosque and local shopping areas.
In the evening, enjoy dinner at the renowned Carnivore Restaurant, famous for its unique dining experience and lively atmosphere.

After an early breakfast, depart Nairobi and travel north through Nanyuki towards Meru National Park. It’s a long drive, with a lunch stop along the way.
Arrive at your lodge or camp in the afternoon and, time permitting, head out for a short evening game drive. Meru is one of Kenya’s hidden gems, offering excellent wildlife viewing with fewer crowds and stunning natural scenery.

Enjoy breakfast, with an optional early morning game drive in Meru, before departing for Samburu National Reserve.
Arrive at your lodge or camp for lunch and spend the afternoon exploring this unique reserve on a game drive. Samburu is home to rare northern species including Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe and Somali ostrich.

Start the day with an early morning game drive when wildlife is most active.
Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation before heading back into the reserve for another exciting afternoon game drive along the Ewaso Nyiro River.

After breakfast, depart Samburu and travel south through Isiolo and Nanyuki towards Aberdare National Park. It’s a long drive, with lunch on the way.
Upon arrival, transfer to your lodge, where you can relax and enjoy wildlife viewing. Aberdare is known for its dense forests, waterfalls, elephants, buffaloes and unique mountain wildlife.

Arrive in time for lunch before enjoying an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is famous for its rhino sanctuary and excellent opportunities to spot both black and white rhinos, lions, buffaloes, giraffes and numerous bird species.

After breakfast, travel to the legendary Maasai Mara National Reserve.
Arrive for lunch before setting out on an afternoon game drive across the vast savannah plains. The Maasai Mara is one of Africa’s most celebrated wildlife destinations and is home to the Big Five.

After breakfast, enjoy a full day exploring the Maasai Mara.
Search for lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes and rhinos while discovering the reserve’s rich wildlife. A hot air balloon safari can be arranged at an additional cost for a breathtaking aerial view of the Mara.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush before continuing with afternoon game viewing.

After breakfast, enjoy a final morning in the Maasai Mara. An optional early morning game drive can be arranged before departure.
Begin the journey back to Nairobi with lunch en route. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward travel.
