Set within the private Ngutuni Wildlife Conservancy, a 10,000-acre sanctuary bordered on three sides by Tsavo East National Park, Ngutuni Lodge overlooks a large waterhole and salt lick that draws elephants, buffalo, antelope and other wildlife throughout the day and into the night. Built from natural stone and wood, the lodge blends into its surroundings, with elevated terraces and viewing decks giving uninterrupted views across the plains without needing to leave the property.
The setting favors relaxation over strenuous activity, comfortable rooms with private balconies look directly out over the waterhole or plains, and larger family rooms are available for small groups. It’s a quiet, intimate alternative to the bigger lodges closer to Voi town, and works well as a stopover between Nairobi and Mombasa given its position directly on the route.
