A road safari from the coast to Masai Mara takes the better part of two days each way, this route gets you there in under three hours by air. It’s the fastest way to add the Mara to a coast based holiday without losing several days to travel.
The route below is a guide. Game-drive times, stops and accommodation are tailored around your dates and selected park.
Pickup from your hotel is at 7.30am, with a transfer to the airport for a 9.00am flight to Masai Mara. The flight takes around two and a half hours, landing at an airstrip near your lodge.
You’ll be picked up on arrival and taken to your lodge or camp for lunch. An afternoon game drive runs from 4.00pm to 6.00pm, followed by dinner and an overnight stay at the same lodge or camp.
After breakfast, you depart for a full day of game viewing, with a packed lunch box in the vehicle. You return to the lodge or camp from 4.00pm for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, a morning game drive is followed by an early lunch before transfer to the airstrip. Your return flight departs at 2.00pm, landing back at the coastal airport, where you’ll be picked up and returned to your hotel.
