If you only have two days to spare, this is the fastest way to see the Masai Mara without giving up most of a coast holiday to travel. You fly in one morning and fly back the next afternoon, with a full afternoon and a full morning of game drives in between.
The route below is a guide. Game-drive times, stops and accommodation are tailored around your dates and selected park.
Pickup from your hotel is at 7.30am, with a transfer to the airport for a 9.00am flight to Masai Mara. The flight takes around two and a half hours, landing at an airstrip near your lodge.
You’ll be picked up on arrival and taken to your lodge or camp for lunch. An afternoon game drive runs from 4.00pm to 6.00pm, followed by dinner and an overnight stay at the same lodge or camp.
After breakfast, a morning game drive is followed by an early lunch before transfer to the airstrip. Your return flight departs at 2.00pm, landing back at the coastal airport, where you’ll be picked up and returned to your hotel.
