The Mara Intrepids Lodge is located in the centre of the Maasai Mara National Reserve, on the banks of the Talek River near one of the major annual wildlife migration crossings. Situated in one of the most talked about destinations in the world and best known wilderness, Mara Intrepids Lodge combines luxurious accommodation and fine dining with warm hospitality and experienced guiding.

The camp offers some of the world’s best game viewing, with large populations of plains game, Elephants, Rhinos, Buffalos and all the Big Cats. In 2004, 75% of the footage for the BBC’s famous Big Cat Diary was shot in the vicinity of the camp. Mara intrepids is 298 kilometres and a six-hour drive from Nairobi, while the all-weather airstrip enables guests to be at the camp within 45 minutes of leaving the capital.

Mara Intrepids Lodge is divided into 4 distinct areas, with separate dining areas and ‘mess tents’ ensuring exclusivity for larger groups travelling together. Mara Intrepids Lodge safaris offer a unique game-viewing adventure, including 3 daily game drives with experienced guides, educational outings with the camps famous Adventurers’ Club, and trips to Maasai villages where Mara Intrepids Lodge supports several community development projects.

Mara Intrepids Lodge consists of 30 elegant tents spreading over a large riverside site. Guests sleep in large poster beds and reproduction furniture with modern en-suite bathrooms with hot showers. The secluded raised platforms enjoy views over the river. The is also a large dining terrace beside the swimming pool and small riverfront dining areas with private catering.
