This is the longest of our Mara safaris, built for travellers who want more than a rushed day and a half in the park. Two full days are spent entirely on game drives, and you’ll stay the whole trip at Fig Tree Camp, in a double tent set along the river, where hippos are a common sight without leaving camp
The route below is a guide. Game-drive times, stops and accommodation are tailored around your dates and selected park.
Pickup from your Nairobi location is at 7.00am, for the direct drive to Masai Mara. A morning game drive takes place en route to Fig Tree Camp, where lunch is served, with time to relax by the room or pool until 4.00pm.
An afternoon game drive runs from 4.00pm to 6.00pm, followed by dinner and an overnight stay at Fig Tree Camp.
After breakfast, you leave camp with a packed lunch for a full day of game viewing inside the reserve. You return to camp at 4.30pm for a shower, dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, choose a further full day game drive or a morning drive only. Either way, you return for lunch, followed by an evening game drive from 4.00pm to 6.00pm. Dinner at the same tented camp.
After breakfast, you depart camp with your luggage for a morning game drive en route to the park exit at 11.00am. Lunch is served at Narok Hotel, then the drive continues to Nairobi, with drop off at your accommodation between 4.30pm and 5.30pm.
